Initially made by the Yorkshire company J Thwaites Ltd, Tufgrip roller covering is now manufactured by J.W. Stead & Son Ltd in Shipley, West Yorkshire, U.K. Founded in 1932, J. W. Stead have a long and proud history, providing their services to industry for over 90 years.
Our roller covering range covers a huge array of industrial applications, from textile manufacture to paper, print and films.
As well as manufacturing the majority of our roller coverings, we can slit and self- adhesive back directly from our factory for quick delivery.

Our roller coverings offer controlled grip, durability and resistance to high temperatures, oil and chemical damage.
Most coverings are available with a range of adhesive options including a strong bond hot-melt adhesive, and a high-heat resistant self-adhesive backing.
We also offer non-adhesive roller coverings with a range of very high quality specialist contact adhesives and roller cleaners.
